Australian equities started the year strongly, with the ASX 200 up ~2% in January, according to data from S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI).
The Aussie bourse followed the lead of US markets with the Dow Jones rose 1.7% up in January for its ninth consecutive month advance and longest winning streak since 2018.
